“Cooking creates a sense of well-being for yourself and the people you love and brings beauty and meaning to everyday life. And all it requires is common sense – the common sense to eat seasonally, to know where your food comes from, to support and buy from local farmers and producers who are good stewards of our natural resources.”
This quote from Alice Waters sums up why we have such respect for her. Our focus for this date night will be on the bounty of autumn.
Our tribute to Alice is to prepare together a Spicy Cauliflower Soup paired with a Shaved Fennel Salad with parsley and parmesan cheese curls. We’ll then prepare Roasted Chicken with onion and apple marmalade, Butternut Squash and Pear Puree, and a Cranberry Upside-down Cake for dessert.
We hope this menu will inspire your support of local producers throughout the seasons.
Hands-On Class - you’ll participate in the preparation of the meal alongside the chef.
1 registration of $220 = 2 people attending
Instructors: Chefs Susan and Paul Shaltry
