Bottle the goodness of our summer bounty with this freezer and refrigerator preserving workshop. We will be able to taste each recipe in class but due to the nature of freezer jams and refrigerator pickling, the texture/flavor will change once they have chilled for the appropriate amount of time. Each guest will leave with one 4oz. jar of their choice of freezer jam, and one pint jar of their choice of refrigerator pickles to enjoy at home.
First, we'll start prepping our lunch - Seasoned chicken breasts to roast and slice alongside a hearty Spinach and Penne Salad - sun dried tomatoes, roasted red peppers, fresh mozzarella, pickled onions, sourdough croutons, and a homemade zesty Italian vinaigrette. We may even whip up a batch of my very favorite Chewy Chocolate Chunk Cookies to satisfy our sweet tooth!
Once lunch is underway (chef will complete finishing touches as needed), we'll get down to business and start on our preserving:

Hands-On & Demonstration - You’ll prepare the meal alongside the chef, who will also demonstrate specific techniques throughout the preparation.
