CLASS TIME CHANGE 11am-1pm....Lunchtime Cooking Class with Giuliano Hazan at The Farmhouse, December 12, 11:00-1:00
Buongiorno!
We are thrilled to share an extraordinary holiday celebration of Italian cooking, culture, and history, brought to you by The Seasoned Farmhouse in partnership with The Wexner Center for the Arts. This December, we are honored to welcome acclaimed Italian chef, teacher, and author Giuliano Hazan to Columbus for a two-day tribute to his mother — the legendary Marcella Hazan.
Marcella, often called “the godmother of Italian home cooking in America,” transformed how Americans cook and understand Italian food. Her groundbreaking books, including The Classic Italian Cookbook, brought authentic Italian techniques into home kitchens at a time when few Americans cooked Italian food beyond spaghetti and meat sauce. Her influence rippled through generations of chefs and home cooks, and her passion, discipline, and reverence for ingredients continue to shape the culinary world today.
Her story is beautifully captured in the documentary “La Cucina di Marcella,” which explores her immigrant journey, uncompromising culinary spirit, and enduring legacy. Today, her son Giuliano carries that legacy forward, teaching and writing with the same devotion to simplicity, flavor, and the Italian way of life. We hope you can join us for these festive events:
