Meet us in the Big Apple! Many times we come across restaurant recommendations for New York City establishments. Unfortunately, it really isn’t our habit to dash off to New York when we are curious about a certain dish from one of these recommended restaurants. What else is there to do than spend an evening with other curious cooks and recreate a few dishes from notable, trending restaurants.

Monkey Bar boasts a playful take on a Caesar salad with smoked whitefish and salt & vinegar chips instead of croutons that we will prepare for a first course.

The outdoor wood-fired oven will be the setting for baking our main course which will be a 2-sheet verde Bolognese lasagna, the brainchild of the chefs at Rolo’s.

For dessert, the tantalizing rich and buttery giant walnut and chocolate cookies from Levain Bakery.
